CSPO Communications Specialist - CSPO is seeking a Communication Specialist to develop, implement, and evaluate new and creative ideas for communicating CSPO ideas and products to a wide range of audiences both within and outside of academia. Assist in re-envisioning the CSPO web sites; develop a concept for a CSPO “look”; develop, write, manage presentational and promotional materials; work with the media; assist with event-related publicity. Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate complex technical terms in an easy-to-understand manner for a variety of publics/media. Fulbright CSIRO Postgraduate Scholarship

(A partnership of the Australian-American Fulbright Commission and the CSIRO National Research Flagships program)

 

Applications are now open for the 2009 Fulbright CSIRO Postgraduate Scholarship to Australia. Valued at up to $34,000 (Australian) this scholarship supports an American citizen to undertake 8-12 months postgraduate research related to their American PhD with Australia’s leading and largest science research organization, CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation), working on Australia’s most ambitious scientific research program, the National Research Flagships. The CSIRO National Research Flagships focus on addressing major challenges and opportunities through long term, multidisciplinary, collaborative research leading to widespread adoption of outcomes.

The 2009 scholarship may be started anytime between 1 July 2009 and 30 June 2010. Applicants will be assessed by their academic and professional merit; clearly defined and achievable projects; and the potential for their projects to add value and build collaborations between Australia and the U.S. Applications for this scholarship are through the normal U.S. Postgraduate application process via your U.S. university, or direct to the Institute for International Education (IIE) at http://us.fulbrightonline.org/home.html. Applications close in the U.S between early September to late October (check with your U.S. university or IIE).
